I focus on representing, converting, enriching and linking data into heterogeneous knowledge graphs such that they can be used by both domain experts and laypeople to explore and discover. In Clariah, I work on the DIVE+ tool, and I am involved in the Data committee of Clariah.


WP2, WP5 johan oomen

Johan Oomen is head of the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision R&D Department and researcher at the Web and Media group of the VU University Amsterdam. Oomen and his group are working on research projects (Horizon 2020, ICT-PSP, national) that focus on providing durable access to digital heritage on the Web. Oomen holds an BA in Information Science and an MA in Media Studies. He is elected board member of the Europeana Association, of the EUscreen Foundation and of CLICKNL, the innovation catalyst for the Dutch Creative Industries. His PhD research focusses on the relation between participatory culture and institutional policy.

Norah Karrouche is a historian specializing in historical culture in Morocco and among Maghrebi communities in Europe. She is particularly interested in the uses of oral history in migration research, both as fieldwork method and as research ethic. Within CLARIAH WP5, she is project leader of Oral History Today (Verteld Verleden).

Roeland Ordelman is manager Research & Innovation at the R&D Department of the Netherlands Institute for Sound and Vision (NISV) and also affiliated to University of Twente as senior researcher Multimedia Retrieval. He coordinates the NISV Labs activties that include the development of the CLARIAH Media Suite.
