Workflows

In addition to tools and datasets, CLARIAH also creates workflows for researchers. These workflows will describe how resources can be used for common research steps in linked processes.

As a researcher you can:

  • Quickly gain insight into how certain tools and datasets can work together
  • Use a structured approach to analysis or processing of research material through multiple tools
  • Work through common research steps more efficiently and effectively

Ineo: all our digital resources in one place

Ineo lets you search, browse, find and select digital resources for your research in humanities and social sciences. Gradually, it will offer access to thousands of tools, datasets, workflows, standards and educational material.

Why use our workflows?

Head start

No need to figure out each step from the ground up.

Quality

Standardised workflows in collaboration with specifieke CLARIAH tools ensure that tasks are executed consistently according to best practices.

Collaboration

By using the same workflow and tools, it is easier to communicate and collaborate within the same framework, but also to establish collaborations with colleagues from other fields and disciplines.

Who are our workflows meant for?

When researching and teaching in digital humanities, it is often necessary to make use of multiple tools to arrive at an answer. The workflows are intended for anyone who wants to get started with digital humanities methods and is not yet fully versed in the possibilities that individual tools can offer together. They also serve as inspiration and reference for those who already have a clearer picture of the intended workflows to ensure efficiency.

The CLARIAH workflows are based on methods previously applied in one or more of our projects, ensuring compatibility and usability of the workflow. This provides a practical entry point to (learn how to) work with CLARIAH's offerings and beyond. Of course, it is also possible to select specific aspects to adapt the workflow to individual needs.
