Emma Verbree obtained her BA in Language and Culture studies (major: linguistics, minor: language development) and her MA in Multilingualism & Language Acquisition. Initially, language disorders in human children were her biggest point of interest before she encountered the human-animal interaction research internship at KNAW Humanities Cluster. During this internship, she researched vocalisations made by calves in the dairy industry and she continued this research for her master's thesis (and still does so voluntarily). Now she combines two jobs in communications: one at Party for the Animals at Amsterdam City Hall, the other as Communications Officer at KNAW Humanities Cluster at Spinhuis Amsterdam. From here, she primarily supports the communications surrounding the CLARIAH-PLUS project.
